About us
Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Rooms Division Manager, and within the limits of established IHG and local Hotel policies and procedures, is responsible for the Valet service in the Laundry Department.
Your day to day
Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Picks up all guests’ laundry and dry cleaning work. Establishes with guests the type of service required. Insures that names and rooms numbers are written on Laundry or Valet lists clearly. Clearly writes on lists any special request made by guests. Informs superior in case there is any discrepancy between the guest count and his count Checks items for tears, unusual discoloration or missing buttons during the marking process and report same Separates garments which need to be dry cleaned from those which need washing or pressing an give them to washman/pressman to be done Follows all written requests by guests and ensure that all urgent requirements are completed as requested. Carries out final control, spot checks and fold them according to guest request. Checks that pieces for each bundle are the same as listed when packing  Delivers at the end of the day or when requested all laundry garments to the appropriate rooms and ensures that urgent requests are delivered to guests on time Makes sure that all charges are posted on Micros prior to delivery of garments to guests. Clearly states on proper tracking sheets the pick-up and delivery o garments. Helps in the dry cleaning section when time permits. Learns to acquire knowledge of press machine. Reports any malfunctioning of equipment to superior Helps keeping the working area tidy and clean at all times Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all company Policies and Procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
