Your day to day

Join us as a Laundry Supervisor. You'll have ambition, talent and obviously some key skills, because, for this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the Laundry Department in the managing the hotels daily laundry operation.   Under the general guidance of the Executive Housekeeper and within the limits of IHG Policy and Procedure, you are responsible for overall Laundry operation and   administration including the preparation or reporting and relevant record keeping. You play the leading role in promoting the brand promise True Hospitality.  You'll provide support to the Executive Housekeeper and ensure consistent service delivery to enhance our guest's stay for an authentic and memorable experience.   You need to make sure all colleagues are properly trained and certified and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. You will assist the Executive housekeeper in terms of salary, disciplinary, or other colleague-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies.   Further to your role, you will have overall responsibility for supervising and inspecting the work of laundry attendants to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests.  In this role, you will assist with scheduling and assignments to ensure proper coverage while ensuring all colleagues are properly trained and certified and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. You will complete paperwork and closing duties such as filling out supply requisitions, maintenance request forms, and updating log books, etc. In addition, you give hands-on support when its needed during the operation and handle guest complaints promptly and ensure all resolved or unresolved incidents are reported to the Executive Housekeeper. You may regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.  You will be able to not only maintain the pc programs as directed but also accountable for maintenance follow-up and correct compliance on maintenance request forms. You ensure that the company, hotel, regulations and policies are adhered at all times. 

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role or you're a strong experienced Junior Supervisor and ready to take the next step. You must have 4-5 star hotel experience in operation and have experience in leading and developing a team.  You'll have high attention to detail and be driven to achieve desired results through the key performance indicators associated with guest and colleague satisfaction. Ultimately, you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English. You will be a self-motivator and able to demonstrate understanding of the business and link the business environment to IHG commitments.
