Your day to day

They will open the gateway to a magical, vibrant playground of extraordinary experiences and revitalising adventure. Whether it’s a romantic experience for two, a family adventure, team building journey or solo exploration, the all-new suite of experiences are as iconic as they are unforgettable; and adding a knowledgeable and worldly team who can bring the InterContinental Life alive throughout these activities is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences.  

Based in the Resorts bespoke Kids Club, Planet Trekkers, as a Kids Club Attendant you will focus on creating experiences and memories for our younger guests that will enhance their on island journey; an exploration path of their own and a range of experiences that will connect them back to the island.

If you’re charismatic, approachable and know what it takes to exceed guest expectations, this is your opportunity to work in this unique environment and fast track your career. As a Kids Club Attendant, your day to day will involve;

• Supervising small and large groups of children aged from four to twelve years and actively run daily sessions

• Communicate with Parents, Guests, Children and key Resort stake holders.

• To maintain sound knowledge of Childcare Regulations 2003, Child Care Act 2002 and familiarity with the Accreditation principles.

• Ensure appropriate hygiene and safety standards are adhered to.

• To assist with the development, implementation and delivery of developmentally appropriate activities on a daily basis.

• Comply with emergency procedures, duty of care and reporting procedures alongside maintaining relevant paperwork.

• Cross sell activities and services to guests to enhance their on island journey.

• Baby sitting and tailored sessions for guests.

 

What we need from you

Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of previous experience in a kids club attendant role, early childhood teaching or similar within a luxury setting and be passionate about creating fulfilling and unique experiences. As a minimum, you will hold a certificate lll in Community services (Children’s services) or equivalent, alongside a current blue card and first aid and CPR certificate.

You will have demonstrable strong communication skills with varied demographics and the ability to think outside the box with how you approach the creation and delivery of programs and activities in a kids club environment. as well as exposure to a Resort environment is desirable but not essential.

If you’re a confident professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and passion in to provide unique and tailored experiences, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you. You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required; commencing from early to mid December 2020, on short term contracts of 6 or 8 weeks.
