About us
Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South is immediately looking for a housekeeping supervisor! As a housekeeping supervisor, you are responsible for coordinating and regulate the proceedings of your own group of employees. This means among other things to make and keep the guests room ready for guests following fixed schedules and checklist.
Your day to day
OUR PEOPLE - You divide tasks, you give instructions, you introduce new employees through practical instructions and you monitor the work progress, work quality, the use of equipment etc.- You solve problems that occur.- You make a planning on the basis of the hotel occupancy, expected stir and the free days of employees. -- You divide employees to working spots and time and you call, if necessary, part-time employees.- You pass the required quantities and kind of linen to the linen room- You order required cleaning products, guest supplies, parts of the equipment etc. at our Purchasing department.- You also do some department tasks if this is necessary for the progress.- You will give instructions to employees.- You give and lead on-the-job trainings to the Housekeeping employees.- You are totally up-to-date with all the tasks and operations in the Housekeeping department.- You are totally up-to-date with the occupancy for the coming week.- You are totally up-to-date with the general room status.- You are totally up-to-date with all the administrative tasks in the Housekeeping department.- You know about the used computer programs.GUEST EXPERIENCE - You check all the rooms and public areas and public toilets in total following the schedule and checklist.- You check whether all the lamps and equipment are working, you signal defects and damages and you take the necessary steps- You’ll handle complaints, comments and questions of guests, you give out information and you provide service- You make sure and you are accurate on the fact that all the guest rooms and public areas will be clean.RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS - You see (technical) troubles/defects and if possible you are taking care of it, or you call the Maintenance department.- You check the vacuum cleaner, cleaning trolleys, linen shutes, and the service areas on a daily basis.- You pay attention to the accomplishment (also by your employees) of the rules about the company’s hygiene, working methods and behaviour to guests.- You wear our uniform and namebadge, and you make sure that all the Housekeeping employees are doing so too. You follow-up and control the Housekeeping procedures.- You are aware of the Fire Life Safety and Safety standards of your department and you know how to use these.- You work following the Green Engage Standards.
What we need from you
EDUCATIONSecondary Hotel School or similar MBO education programEXPERIENCEHas a minimum of one year experience in the Housekeeping department of an equivalent hotel. SKILLS- Speaks fluently Dutch and English and preferably a different language- Good communication skills- Leadership qualities- Stress resistant- Knowledge of Microsoft OfficeATTITUDE- Attention to details- Hospitable- Good appearance
