IHG Army Hotels Fort Leonard Wood is currently hiring for a full-time Houseperson in our Housekeeping department.  The starting rate of pay for this position is $11.98 per hour.

Your day to day

This position has overall responsibility for assisting room attendants on assigned floors.  You will assist by collecting dirty linen, trash and taking them to the laundry area.  You may be required to assist in rooms by stripping beds, lifting/moving heavy items such as: mattresses and furniture.  At times, Housepersons may fill in as a housekeeper and help clean rooms. 

 

You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas such as:  restrooms, laundry and sitting areas.  This includes sweeping, moping, waxing floors and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 300 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently bending, stooping and kneeling and going up/down stairs.

·  Must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays)
·  Must have excellent hospitality skills
·  Good communication skills
·  Must be able to gain entry on Federal Military Installation
