voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley  is currently looking for a Full Time Event Planner to join our team.

Your day to day

As a member of our Sales & Marketing Team and reporting to our Event Manager, you will be responsible for connecting our clients and hotel operations. You will support in the planning all meetings and events, coordinating with operations and the clients during the meeting to ensure its success. You will also undertake associated follow up with the client after the meeting to gain feedback and discuss repeat business. You will also assist the Sales Team with other tasks as required.

Our environment is fast paced and it’s all about the guest and creating amazing experiences to make their event incredible! Our Meeting & Events operation is unique and diverse so if you’re looking for a role that will give your exposure to planning Conference Meetings, Gala Dinners, Weddings and Special Social Events (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Mother’s) then this is the role for you!

·  Ability to work at pace across multiple systems, event planning exposure is required.
·  Proactive approach to maintaining strong relations with clients and stakeholders.
·  A strategic and tactical thinker who can showcase the best of our region and estate whilst planning what is operationally efficient.
·  Superior communication skills
·  Detail orientated
·  High standard of personal presentation
·  You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country
