InterContinental Perth City Centre opened in October 2017 and is a 240-room design orientated hotel in the heart of Perth's CBD.  Focused on corporate and transient market bringing the InterContinental personalised service to life.  At InterContinental Perth City Centre we are here to make our each valued guest enjoy the finer things in life to discover the means of experiences that cannot be had anywhere else.

The Bell / Concierge Department is responsible for the smooth coordination of the guest arrival and departure experience, and acts as welcome and farewell representatives of the Hotel. We are looking for a part time Bell Attendant to join our charming, confident and internationally minded team who knows how to exceed guest expectations.

Your day to day

As a Bell Attendant , you will act as the first point of contact when a guest arrives at the hotel and be prompt to guest requests taking care of their luggage and managing their arrival, including parking of cars. You'll be a motivated, outgoing and genuine person who loves to interact with a variety of people and working as part of a team. You'll ensure sure our guests and hotel visitors feel welcome.  

The Bell Attendant will:

·  greet and assist guests at the hotel entrance with their luggage
·  provide accurate information concerning hotel facilities, venues, transportation and key points of interest
·  alert management of any suspicious activities or characters
·  summons taxis, shuttle drivers and control traffic flow at hotel entrance
·  ensure the outside hotel entrance and lobby is immaculate at all times and is free of litter and debris, and
·  assist the Concierge & Door Ambassador as required.

 We're looking for someone who champions the InterContinental Global Etiquette Service Behaviours each and every shift.

 

What we need from you

The successful candidate will have excellent personal presentation, vibrant energy.  The ideal candidate will also have similar experience in an luxury environment focused on attentive guest service.

Candidates must have all six of the following criteria:

·  excellent personal presentation, positive energy (each and every day!), with proven ability to hold an engaging conversation with anyone
·  ongoing availability to work rostered across 7 days a week including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays
·  unrestricted manual drivers license
·  ability to move heavy guest luggage in and out of vehicles and onto trolleys
·  unrestricted and unlimited working rights for Australia , and
·  knowledge of Perth CBD and the surrounding areas.
