OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
This role is responsible for managing 1099 and 1042 IRS reporting for Client. The resource in this role will also be responsible the ongoing actions related to IRS compliance for the client's suppliers
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Respond to Supplier Team voicemails during 1099 filing season (anticipate volume increase Feb-March)
· Perform year-end 1099 data scrubbing – ensure all reportable payees are TIN matched, perform address corrections, etc.
· Coordinate collection of 3rd Party Prizewinner information and work with AP Admin to load into Oracle AP – 1099s must be generated for these even though they don't actually get paid out of Oracle AP
· Set-up/update tax information in Oracle for 1099 and 1042 reportable Vendors:
· For 1042 reportable Vendors, update based on W8 received
· For 1099 reportable Vendors, update based on W9 received
· Maintain and perform annual 1099 reporting using PepsiCo Payables System. Generate a file from the Payables System containing all pertinent attributes for each 1099 record and sends to 3 rd Party for processing
· Perform 1099 and 1042 exception processing. (Resolve those returned for address errors, payment corrections, etc.)
· Review and, if appropriate, escalate to client for approval 1099 and 1042 exceptions.
· Maintain and perform annual 1042 reporting using client's Payables System.
· Coordinate with 3rd party provider for printing and mailing of vendor 1099s and 1042's including submission of required IT files to IRS
· Raise issues to client should anything arise.
· W8/W9 collection for all new Vendors, TIN validation (Tax Payer Identification Number)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 4-yr college degree with 9-12 hours of business and finance coursework AND / OR 2-3 years of relevant experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to interpret information and translate into required system fields
· Proven collaboration and teamwork skills
· Prior SAP & Oracle knowledge a plus
· Knowledge of IRS W9 and W8 forms is a plus
· Knowledge of IRS 1099 and 1042 Reporting
