Job description

This role assumes overall technical responsibility for the Micromedex business unit as related to its architecture and roadmap. They will help identify and drive opportunities to apply technology to address market problems and differentiate Micromedex across existing and new use cases. They will utilize in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products, Cloud services as well as the Watson Health technical vision to drive a consistent approach to architectural discipline across the Micromedex team. The candidate will also be expected to interact with and present to various levels of management for various business functions as well as coordinate the efforts of junior architects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Minimum 10 years of experience in Software development or related disciplines
·  Minimum 5 years of experience working in technology leadership roles
·  Minimum 3 years of experience working within Agile product development environments
·  Ability to think creatively and to contribute to both strategic and tactical decisions.
·  Ability to think analytically, define problems and frame solutions.
·  Ability to utilize tools necessary to depict technical vision
·  Ability to understand and interact with business-oriented team members.
·  Ability to interact with internal and external customers to understand product requirements.
·  Demonstrated leadership skills, including experience in facilitation, influencing, and conflict resolution.
