User Experience Designer, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Understand user needs, business requirements interpretation, wireframing, process flow design, and prototyping. Responsible for Design Thinking facilitation including guiding clients through persona development, empathy mapping, creation of as-is and to-be scenarios, and hill definition. Take workshop findings and render them as quality deliverables. Responsible for user research, both generative and evaluative, which requires designing the format and executing the tests to understand unmet user needs, usability, and accessibility of the proposed design. Assess contract scope, understand staffing plan, and plan activities to develop high-quality deliverables on time and on budget. Report progress to project management. Articulate design rationale to client stakeholders and document and convey refactoring requirements to the team. Utilize Design Thinking, User Experience Design, Rapid Prototyping, User Research, Data Visualizations, Front-end development, and Design System. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Informatics, or related and two (2) years of experience as a User Experience Prototyper or related.
