Job description
Technical Support Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Foster City, CA: provide technical support assistance to clients and IBM field support; use technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with other support operations and diagnose problems to resolution; communicate action plans to the client or IBM representatives; recommend and implement new or improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes; challenge the validity of procedures and processes to enhance or develop complimentary adjustments; lead small teams, manage routine technical/operational domain of specialization; contribute by supporting activities that are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, or impact immediate costs or expenses. Utilize Security Socket Layer/ Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS), App Connect Professional/Cast Iron Product Skill, HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Java Message Service (JMS), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing SSL/TLS, App Connect Professional/Cast Iron Product Skill, HTTP, JMS, JDBC, and LDAP. Full time. M124.
