Technical Support Engineer - Internship (Markham, ON)

Job description

This position resides in Markham, Ontario and is a 16 (Internship) month work term commencing May 2020 . It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The MDM team is currently recruiting for a 16-month intern for the role of Technical Support Engineer, the ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem solving skills, enjoy helping IBM customers use our software, and have strong programming background in Java or C++, DB2, SQL and WAS, as this will be a hybrid support/engineering role where candidate will have opportunity to do both customer support working directly with IBM customers and develop fixes or workarounds to MDM product issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
·  Strong communication skills, fast learner and self motivated
·  Ability to build positive relationships with IBM customers and peers across departments and across geographies leveraging web conference tools such as webEx
