Job description

This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in providing perform services to clients on one or more storage system technology areas. Examples include: disk, tape, optical, SAN, NAS, or storage software related to these technologies. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: operation and maintenance of storage systems and platform support, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment. The employee focuses on individual/team objectives and development of professional effectiveness.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Disk Administration for Distributed Disk, Storage-Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
Responsible for installing configuring maintaining administering troubleshooting and upgrading to maintain an effective, efficient authentication and data storage system for clients' organizations.
Management of the SAN, Disk Storage and NAS environments
Perform logical disk space management services
1st/2nd level maintenance of storage devices
Must be able to work independently or with client to determine new automation opportunities
Must be able to design/develop automation scripting, test and validate

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

(2-years experience)

-Experience of multiple SAN / NAS Storage environment
-Knowledge of VMware and other Hypervisor hosts and cluster architecture to verify backups and storage migrations plans
- Dell EMC, VMAX, Brocade Switch
- IBM Storage Systems
– Storage area networks (SAN), Flash storage, Tape storage
- Very good knowledge on storage platforms including Netapp, IBM SVC ,V7000s.
- Puppet Automation
- Excellent communication skills
- Englis Level: B2+
