Description
IBM Q is seeking a Hardware Engineer candidate capable of working with evolving specifications and requirements. Projects may include bring-up, testing, and support of quantum processor systems, as well as contributing to the development of next generation systems

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a lab environment with a range of microwave electronics and test equipment. You will have fundamental expertise in RF-engineering or experimental techniques, measurements, microwave engineering, and have basic understanding of superconducting qubits. You are expected to be capable of carrying out development and engineering tasks as part of a collaborative team. Programming experience (especially with Python) is required. You will collaborate with researchers and developers across the IBM team and have the opportunity to interface with worldwide clients and partners who are actively using our quantum systems.

Experience with cryogenic systems would be a plus.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Bachelors degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields
·  Experience working with or/and leading hardware engineering and development teams
·  Expertise and hands-on experience in data analysis, device characterization and design of experiments
·  Advanced skill level in solving analytical problems using rigorous and quantitative approaches
·  Experience working with multiple stakeholders in the organization and facilitating decision-making
·  Experience and ability to deliver in a time-constrained environment
