Job description
IBM Research is hiring predoctoral Quantum Research Advocates with expertise and continuing education in Quantum Computing. Responsibilities:
Assist the world about Quantum Computing and grow the IBM Quantum community of researchers, students, educators, and coders on the path toward achieving Quantum advantage.
Collaborate with researchers and developers across IBM’s global teams and have the opportunity to interface with worldwide clients and partners who are actively using IBM’s Quantum systems; while supporting internal projects.
Interact with developer and research communities interested in Quantum Computing, and facilitate their learning and adoption of Qiskit.
Use community advocacy to help people solve real problems while building and identifying clear learning paths for meaningful adoption of IBM Quantum technology.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
MSc in Electrical Engineering or Physics or related technical field, or be registered for a Master’s degree and conducting relevant research.
The candidate must be a currently registered research student.
Strong background in Python development and Quantum science.
Willingness to travel for community engagements.
Ability to strategize on new ways of reaching new and existing audiences across developers and academic communities.
Communication skills appropriate for engagement with developers and scientists, but must also be able to articulate complex concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.
