The IBM QRadar product lines are the leading SIEM in the market place. Our IBM Security development group is seeking a Quality Architect to join our growing team in Fredericton, NB

The Quality Architect is a senior position responsible for program level software quality, leading new and existing quality initiatives, and will be instrumental in defining and improving quality processes, driving test methods, risk analysis, resource planning as well as mentoring across teams for quality improvement. The Quality Architect will drive the testing strategy, setting the technical direction for the quality efforts and overseeing improvements across all testing levels (functional, integration, regression, acceptance, performance, security, etc). The Architect will work closely with development and the testing teams to meet the quality objectives of the organization.

Some of the responsibilities of this role:
·  Be an advocate for positive technological and quality changes in the enterprise
·  Responsible for oversight of quality and testing of various applications within the organization, in support of projects and releases, aligning with delivery dates.
·  Develop, maintain, and monitor standardized QA processes and artifacts
·  Ensure that testing quality standards and user requirements are met, to maximize the benefit of business investments.
·  Work closely with architecture, support, and business leaders to ensure alignment with quality and testing strategy roadmaps align with addressing business and customer priorities and pain-points.
·  Enhance testing capabilities guided by standard best practices, policies and procedures by designing, planning, executing, monitoring and improving testing process.
·  Establish design principles for test automation and present options and recommendations as needed
·  Define approach for establishing effective test systems
·  Design and architect modular and reusable automated testing solution strategies
·  Work closely with variety of teams to identify new automation opportunities and mentor them for success in achieving more effective and efficient testing.
·  Contribute leadership and oversight to teams managing test environments
·  Provides quality assurance evaluation & estimation guidance on various projects, including the ability to oversee the execution of vision, goals and direction of a team/teams.
·  Stay up to speed on industry process, practice and technology developments to ensure they are brought in-house and enhance the solutions applied to the testing problems
·  Communicate at all levels, handle multiple projects and work on business-critical solutions.
·  Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications
·  Work with related business departments to ensure business value delivery
The Successful candidate will have:

·  proven software development and/or testing experience with a deep understanding of formal quality focused tools, methodology and processes
·  Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software quality metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria
·  Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.
·  Strong technical background with proven delivery of high quality software (development or test).
·  Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating others in a creative and effective manner
·  Experience working with world-wide distributed team members
·  Experience affecting change not only across the testing community, but between other engineering disciplines. This role will involve working with technology that is covered by embargo Export Regulations. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  English Fluent (verbal and written)
·  Technical professional with 10+ years software industry and management experience (development, test, architecture etc) with a minimum of three years at a senior level. Demonstrated
·  Experience in selecting, designing, and implementing frameworks (ideally test automation frameworks).
·  Proven experience in the understanding of software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile, continuous delivery/deployment) and contemporary software quality processes and automated tools and practices (including requirements traceability, automated testing tools, defect tracking)
·  Proven experience in quality methodologies relating to DevOps and software as a service
·  Ability to work with minimal supervision and commit to agreed business goals
·  Ability to identify and communicate project risks and propose mitigation options with justification.
·  Be able to work under direct and assertive culture
·  Passionate about software quality & continuous improvement

·  6+ years experience with test automation, especially developing in-house automation tools
·  Industry recognized Quality Assurance certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CAST etc
·  Professional Engineering experience, P.Eng designation a plus
·  Code knowledge of Java, Perl, Python or any scripting languages
·  Experience in Micro-service software architecture
·  Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration software.
·  Experience in QA with appliances
·  Project Management
