Job description

The PCM z/OS Systems Specialist role is responsible for the analysis of the mainframe systems capacity measurements and forecasting of physical resource requirements. Verify workload processing, forecasts and projections for current production and recommendations focusing on the customer's business IT strategy and requirements for CPU and memory. These tasks are performed in accordance with IBM Global Services standards. The role requires frequent after hours and weekend activity in order to complete tasks outside of customer prime time

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Provide Capacity Reports: Execute daily, weekely and/or monthly jobs that provide the standard reports
Provide Billing Reports : Execute monthly jobs that provide the billing reports
Perform problem determination, problem source identification, and problem resolution.
Take ownership for assigned tasks and prioritize response in accordance with Team Leader's directions
Adhere to IBM Security Policy as described in ITCS104.
Manage the resolution of problems in accordance with their severity as defined in Problem Management procedures and within the targets.
Support project tasks as assigned and deliver to the specified schedule
Support Customer Satisfaction targets by providing primary support to customer or group of customers as designated and back up support to remaining clients
