The IBM Cognitive Applications team is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic business partner relationship professional to join our team in growing the partner ecosystem around the next generation cloud marketplace platform. The partner relationship professional is expected to manage relationships with independent software vendors (ISV's), cloud service providers and other business partners in order to build the breadth of applications and services available on our next generation cloud marketplace platform. As part of the mission, this partner relationship professional will focus on identifying, enabling, and qualifying high-value partners that drive revenue and deliver best-in-class software solutions. Individual leadership, and a strong desire to succeed, with a keen interest and experience with the full lifecycle of a partnership is needed. A broad understanding and experience with open-source applications, containerization platforms and the cloud ecosystem landscape will help the right candidate be successful.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Partner management experience in the technology industry; with emphasis on ISV, cloud, and open-source application companies
· Successful development of partner account plans with milestone development and tracking
· Experience with partner go-to-market planning and execution
· Record of success in sales or prospecting role in B2B environments
· Ability to manage a large and growing number of accounts, with exceptional organization skills
· Data-driven with experience reporting and presenting progress internally and externally during business review sessions
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
· Self-motivated decision maker, taking initiative and recognizing opportunities to create and expand partnerships
· Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
· Strong Project management skills
· Advanced customer relationship skills
· BA/BS degree or relevant experience
· 4+ years experience in IT sales, partner development, or channel sales
