Linux/Solaris System Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Linux/Solaris system engineer profile where:
·  You will work the majority of your time on Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7 and 8 systems
·  You will be the reference person from an operational point of view on Solaris systems.
·  You will be part of a team of six highly skilled people in Linux, AIX and HP-UX.
·  You will also need to interact with specialists SAN, network, backup, DB, middleware speciality team and help narrow down the issue.

Your responsibilities would be:
·  Process Level 2 and Level 3 problems
·  Participates in rotating team on average (8AM to 5 PM) on average 1 day a week for cover
·  BAU activities.
·  Propose ideas for improving the existing infrastructure and implement them (continuous
·  improvement)
·  Maintain operational documentation on managed systems (Internal Wiki).
·  Participate in the advisory role with other team members.
·  Participate in weekly on-call coverage
