Job description
IBM is seeking Information Design positions to work within an agile team environment. This job will be based in the respective markets, focused on tangible achievements through a vast array of challenging opportunities.
The Information Designer will work as a team member in an agile strategic deals squad supporting pre-sales or any client engagement discussion.
They will apply the highest level of creativity, communications and information design skill to assist deal teams to produce clear and compelling visual communication.
As the key graphics designer on executive summaries and other high impact deliverables, they must be able to develop a brief by working through the requirements with the deal team, and recommending the most appropriate, meaningful and impactful type of visual communication required.
They must have the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and articulate any alternative ideas or approaches required.
They will work with the sales team and Technical Subject Matter Experts to build innovative collateral in key solution areas such as: Security, Watson Cognitive, Analytics, Cloud, Mobility, etc. in different industries.
Organizational and interpersonal skills, operating as a team player, and willingness to work under tight deadlines, are additional requirements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

University education, or design, illustration, multi-media work experience
·
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to apply creative thinking to convey ideas in an engaging and appealing manner and develop innovative designs appropriate to the design brief and audience, in keeping with IBM's brand.

A keen eye for aesthetics and details
·
Ability to work well independently and in a team based environment with local or regional teams in remote locations.
·
Proficient in design and documentation development tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office.

Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.

Competent in defining, planning and managing design deliverables
·
Field of study: Graphic Design, Multimedia, Photography, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing and Advertising.
