Job description

IBM recently introduced Cloud Paks to help organizations on their journey to cloud. Regardless of where they are on their journey, most enterprises are faced with daunting security challenges. The common theme we hear from security leaders is they have too many tools, too much data, and a growing skills gap.

Security teams typically purchase new tools with the goal of solving new problems. With each new tool, the amount of security data they need to review and investigate increases. Then, with data spread across multiple different tools, clouds, and on-premises environments, trying to understand their risk becomes a challenge. We've seen many teams try to solve this through costly and complex integrations—or, in some cases, by relying on individuals as ‘human glue' to pull information together. The real concern raised by these challenges is that threats can be missed or overlooked, putting the business at risk.

Today, we are helping organizations tackle these challenges head on and ushering in a new era of security based on open source technology and standards. IBM Cloud Pak for Security is a platform that integrates your existing security tools to offer deeper insights into threats across hybrid multicloud environments, using an infrastructure-independent common operating environment that runs anywhere. Security teams can quickly search for threats and orchestrate response with automated actions—without moving the underlying data.

IBM Security Team is seeking software developer with experience in security, cloud development, and front-end development capability to work on the security intelligence development project. The candidate will work with global team to enrich the IBM Cloud Pak for Security capability and explore value-added insight from data behind.

Role & Responsibility
- Work as a developer of an Agile Scrum team, participate in ongoing Sprint activity to deliver on assigned Story development work.
- Write high-quality UI code for data-intensive applications using Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Collaborate with designers and offering managers to validate, design, and deliver application capabilities and features
- Proactively manage work load to deliver code in a timely manner
- Respond to customer feedback on data quality, investigate and identify issues. Recommend and implement remediation.

- Familiar with programming languages – JavaScript and related test automation frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library
