Job description

The Digital Yield Associate will be part of the Digital Yield Management team overseeing all aspects of inventory and pricing for IBM's Watson and Media properties, primarily focused on supporting the Sales team with inventory and pricing consultation and approval. The candidate must understand the business model of digital advertising, have excellent analytical skills, and possess expertise in manipulating, analyzing and reporting on data from various sources and tools. The candidate must demonstrate a combination of business and technical skills with strong communication and project management skills. The qualified candidate must have a strong understanding of business processes, adapt quickly in an ever-evolving environment, and is capable of thinking out of the box and providing creative solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Sales Support
o Provide front-line sales support to sales team (Direct and Programmatic)
o Review, support, and recommend improvements to existing media plans and pricing that maximize yield and revenue
o Evaluate proposed digital campaigns and understand impact of booked business
• Inventory Analysis
o Use historical and pipeline information to forecast sales demand in highly requested areas and sponsorships
o Provide inventory avails across multiple platforms and targets
o Monitor avails and forecasting tools in order to ensure accuracy of products and functionality of system
• Reporting
o Manage and deliver certain inventory and pricing reports to business stakeholders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• BA/BS degree required
• 1-3 years of digital media experience preferred in yield management, ad operations, and/or data analytics
• Thorough understanding of digital advertising business model, digital pricing and performance models
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical capacity/problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with cross functional teams
• Strong data manipulation and analysis skills
