Data Scientist, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX: Discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data and derive insights for optimal operations both in-house as well as for clients. Extract data from a variety of data sources followed by applying data mining techniques, statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. Handle data analysis, build machine learning and optimization models as well as API development, prototyping, containerization and deployment for consumption. Data extraction from a variety of in-house and external sources. Data wrangling of structured and unstructured data. Extending company's data with third party sources of information when needed. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. Ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner. Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate and/or refine results. Apply model driven analytics and/or data driven learning to build prediction models. Convert developed prediction models into reusable API's. Containerizing code and deploying API's for internal/external use. Document and share code via standard code repositories. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Utilize Data Engineering, Statistical Analysis, SQL, Linux, IBM Cognos, Data Warehouse, Teradata, IBM DB2, JavaScript, VB, C, PHP, Java. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in information systems or related (employer will accept a bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Data Engineering, Statistical Analysis, SQL, Linux, IBM Cognos, Data Warehouse, Teradata, IBM DB2, JavaScript, VB, C, PHP, Java. Full time. S58.
