IBM has an immediate opportunity for a forward thinking experienced Data Links Software Tester, with a passion for growth and innovation.

We are looking for a tester to complement the current Tactical Data Links team. Can be junior or intermediate. You have a a good understanding of software engineering fundamentals and you are able to quickly ramp on a complex real-time communications system with an understanding of protocols and interfaces. This role requires hands on testing and solid problem solving skills .

Responsibilities:

As a Real-Time Systems Tester, you'll use your background and appropriate testing tools and techniques to ensure that applications and systems under test (new and amended) conform to exacting standards. Why? So they'll perform as specified to meet clients' business goals. You'll deliver on that promise with exceptional testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test reports and quality metrics. In this position you will primarily apply your technical skills in an internal or external customer services and implementation environment. You will conduct product verification and complement the current development team whose mandate is to broaden and support our products for our client base using our Software Engineering Practices tailored to the defense industry

Note: You will be required to work on-site on a full-time basis .

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Experience in software engineering and verification techniques;
·  Experience estimating work effort;
·  Test case development;
·  Configuration Management Knowledge and use of Configuration Management Tools such as Clearcase and DOORs;
·  Ability to quickly learn a large and complex system;
·  Excellent team working skills;
·  Excellent problem-solving skills;
·  Excellent verbal & written communication skills;
