Your Role and Responsibilities :
General job role information:
This role is responsible for controlling or monitoring complex computer systems, networks, applications and/or mainframe systems in a multi-vendor environment. Also responsible for ensuring proper operations of systems and subsystems and supporting Helpdesk or higher-level teams to solve arising issues. You will work with other IBM products as zOS and CICS
Roles and responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, configure, implement, and support CICS system software.
· Install, maintain, and support all CICS related program products.
· Implement new maintenance and fixes in a manner which minimizes risk and customer impact.
· Plan, coordinate, and deploy new CICS related program products and/or upgrade existing CICS software.
· Perform System Administrator functions for all CICS systems.
· Monitor use of CICS systems in order to forecast need for additional resources. Identify and utilize the best methods for adjusting and tuning the system to maximize system performance.
· Assist the client's application development personnel in resolving application problems.
· Ensure backup and disaster recovery plans are implemented, tested and used.
· Other relevant system and application duties as assigned.
Due to the nature of the services supported this role may need to carry out tasks out of the normal office times, which are ensured by shift mode work and/or stand by callout support and/or overtimes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience within zOS and CICS
Understand the concepts of problem and change management
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Programming skills: Assembler
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
2+ years installing and maintaining CICS for z/OS, migrating CICS regions to new CICS versions, applying PTF’s and PUT levels using SMP/E, and performing user resource definition requests.
2+ years performing ongoing performance monitoring, diagnosis and tuning, troubleshooting CICS problem issues, and working with the developers in resolving application problems on z/OS;
CICS program products MQ Series, TSO, ISPF, CLIST, REXX, JCL, VTAM, TCPIP, ACF2;
Experience on planning how and when to install new products or upgrading existing software considering impact on end-users; C, COBOL, PL/I, Java, Perl
