Job description

IBM is looking for talented people who have following skills:

Basic Administration
·  Solid experience with Unix and Linux operating systems; Linux certifications are a plus
·  Working knowledge of Ubuntu / CentOS / Debian / Red hat Enterprise LinuxV5/6/7 System administration and its trouble shooting
·  In depth knowledge of Linux Kernel & CLI commands
·  In depth knowledge in linux administration skills with knowledge of storage services SAN / NAS
·  Expert on troubleshooting Unix/Linux system issues and Root Cause Analysis
·  Experience to build server(s), clustering, Performance tunings and troubleshooting is a must
·  Knowledge in Python/Perl/shell scripting
·  Solid networking skills and experience (including VLANs, VPNs, switching and bridging, TCP/IP and related protocols)
·  Experience with HA deployments and concepts
·  Experience with Virtualisation: Xen/KVM/Hyper-V
·  Experience in infrastructure services, such as DNS, Email and firewalls
·  Experience with monitoring systems and sevices
·  Demonstrated knowledge of security protocols and vulnerability remediation
·  Build, deploy, and maintain internal cloud infrastructure as well as traditional virtualization-based environment
·  Maintain data center environmental, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems
·  Document internal processes and procedures related to system administration
Basic Cloud
·  Experience with cloud computing; familiarity with Red Hat OpenStack Platform or Red Hat OpenShift is a plus
·  Working knowledge of Linux Based KVM and Hypervisor/KVM
·  Experience with containerization and running containerized environment including: Docker, Docker Engine, Kubernetes, LXD
·  Experience with a configuration management tool or infrastructure as code including Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Terraform
·  Experience with Redhat Satellite
Generic skills
·  Perform complex tasks and resolve complex systems problems
·  Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
·  Should be open to work with any kind of Open source software
·  Ability to effectively prioritize and carry out tasks with alignment to actual demands
·  Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a rapidly paced, customer facing, 24/7 production environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
·  5+ years of working experience in Linux system administration
·  excellent written and verbal communication skills

·  Experience with setting up LDAP, DNS , DHCP
·  Experience building and supporting systems in AWS

·  Hands-on Experience in SQL (MySql) and No SQL Databases (Hbase, Cassandra, Hazelcast)
·  Experience with private and public cloud environments
·  Good understanding of PCI-DSS and/or working with sensitive data
·  Experience with managing cloud resources, AWS experience is a plus
·  AWS Systems Admin and Automation
·  Certifications RCHSA & RHCE are desirable
·  Experience with SANs and cloud storage solutions
·  Experience with web based applications and infrastructure
·  Using and maintaining CI/CD tools is a plus, such as Jenkins or similar tools
