About The Position
For our new property Hyatt Regency Cape Town, we are looking for a Head Chef who enjoys taking extra miles to ensure the success of the hotel and the department. In this role you will be responsible to function as the Production Manager for the Food and Beverage Department, to ensure that all the outlets and banquets operate successfully, in accordance with Hyatt’s standards. This vital role includes directing and supervising food preparation in the hotel and ensure the highest-level quality and consistency as relates to food handling, food quality and food presentations while maintaining established operational standards and maximizing profits for the hotel.
Ideal candidate profile
· Ideally with an apprenticeship or professional diploma in Food Production. Minimum 2 years work experience as Head Chef.
· Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity and sustainability are a must.
· Hotel pre-opening experience of great advantage.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills - We are looking for someone with a sincere passion for working with others and creating a difference in our workplace
