Overview:

Credit Control Services IT global decisioning function supports RBWM's core global retail originations & account management operation – processing over a billion customer decisions annually, across 20+ markets

The Credit Control Services IT Data Analytics and ODS function :

- Creates a central data lake with a one unified view across Credit Control Services to support credit risk decisioning

- Builds a reporting and dash-boarding platforms for Business Analysis and Intelligence

- Handles Operation Data Sources for decisioning purposes

In addition the function is embarking on a journey to replace current technology offerings that supports the customer collections Management Information System with Big Data and Cloud based Business Intelligence platform across the markets.

The successful candidate will be drive the technology evolution whilst managing the teams providing change & support for the existing solutions across the multiple markets.

Responsible For:

Reporting into the CCS IT Delivery Head:

· Accountable for end-to-end ownership of the Data Analytics IT Products and Services to businesses.

· Accountable for the evolution, development and operations of the Data Analytics and Decisioning IT products and services provided to Global Businesses/Functions.

· Influence extends to internal peers, and up to 2 levels above within organisation.

Primary purpose :

· Have control over end-to-end IT services for one or more Products / Customer Journeys, Is the primary engagement point with the business product owners for the discrete set of IT Services
· Accountable for the availability, resilience, integrity, performance and security of the set of IT Services including supporting applications and infrastructure within and across their remit and the implementation and operation of incident recovery, problem, change, non-functional requirements, performance, capacity, service levels, configuration, assets, resilience, integrity, performance and security.
· Accountable for maintaining mandatory / regulatory compliance of the IT Services managed by the team
· Accountable for managing the End to End cost base, will balance HSBC priorities, ensuring compliance, Customer satisfaction also ensuring Data standards and Data controls
· Influence decision making as part of relevant HSBC Executive decision making bodies. Sets / significantly influences strategy. Signoff party to all parts of business service / sub-function strategies within remit.
· Provide sign off to all parts of business service / sub-function strategies within remit. The nature and area of impact of business decisions are within one remit (e.g. within a single Global Business or Function)

Responsibilities :

· Enhance & drive the overall product strategy, providing the vision and roadmap for the Data Analytics platform over Cloud journey and to help drive future requirements with reduced operational costs
· Implementation of IT strategy to support core business objectives and gain business value.
· Become the ‘voice' of the business within technology to ensure strategies are cohesive across all business streams.
· Identify interdependencies between various integrated teams and release plans
· Accountable for identifying and resolving any alignment issues within the component teams delivered through the Global IT organization
· Creation & execution of plans to support training, adequate levels of resourcing to support the global demand
· Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs
· Drive technical design, change for new and existing data sources and manage support for delivering state of art intelligence infrastructure
· Evolution of the DevOps model, ensuring continued improvement of the technology lifecycle and alignment with stakeholder plans
· Adhere to compliance with external regulatory requirements, internal control standards and group compliance policy
· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points
· Take accountability to work closely and build a trusted relationship with the business to ensure delivery of the benefits outlined by the respective strategy
· Provide consultancy advice, as a trusted partner, to the both global and regional stakeholders within the business and other technology teams on how best to implement the right technology solution
· All fiscal responsibilities for their product suite and will own the budgetary monitoring and reporting in conjunction with the Planning & Finance team.

Job Specification – Part 2

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE ( in order of importance )

Including: Education, technical knowledge (number of years), company/industry experience, IT knowledge (levels required), languages etc.

· Proven experience in BI/Data Migration projects over Cloud technologies like GCP and associated tool-stacks
· Strong proven skills in Big Data Ecosystem including Hadoop and Cloud technologies
· 12+ years of Industry experience, solid exposure to managing product based teams providing global services
· Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL, Analytics and Business Intelligence Reporting
· Knowledge of Data modelling and Data Architecture concepts
· Good knowledge of Operations and Frontline activities in the Financial Industry context

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

· Recent exposure to end to end solutioning and delivery of of large initiatives supporting Cloud Deployment of applications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Including: Interpersonal skills, management, leadership, communications, sales, planning and organising, project management skills etc.

· Expert communicator (spoken and written)
