HSBC's US based Branch/Call Center Technologies team is looking for a strong, Technical Lead to lead the development of its next-generation staff platform and make it truly world-class. You will work closely with IT and business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver technical solutions that establish the future brand and product experience of HSBC's staff platform. This team is thinking big, devising experiments that are both innovative and industry leading. This will be a role where you will help define the next-gen staff platform. HSBC is actively migrating to Agile for all software development and so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile working environment and leading the adoption of Agile.

Core Responsibilities
· Rigorous attention to detail
· Work closely with business partners to understand and document business requirements/process flows as functional stories
· Work hand in hand with engineers to translate requirements into technical stories
· Champion thoughtful design based on industry research, client interactions, client feedback, internal stakeholders and project needs
· Effective, cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams
· Be involved in QA of the implementation and productionalizing the solution as well as ongoing production support
· Ability to work within agile sprint cycles in a fast-paced environment

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  5+ year of experience, preferably in financial services
·  5+ years of experience with various versions of Angular/REACT and other Javascript frameworks, including the latest versions, and HTML/CSS
·  Proficient in use of latest web services such as REST
·  2-3 years of experience with using AWS (AWS certification is a plus)
·  Experience with iOS platform and development is a plus
·  Highly proficient in various browser versions/standards across desktop/mobile OS and devices
·  5+ experience in Agile methodology
·  Demonstrable experience in fintech industry is a plus
·  Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-moving culture
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Must be flexible with travel at least once a month within the US and some possible international travel
·  Must be flexible with working hours, since teams are located around the world

Education & Experience


·  BS in Computer Science
