Pulse is looking for a Product Designer to help us launch a new business. We are seeking somebody, passionate and adventurous with Product design capable of taking quick prototypes through to fully fledged designs for our developers to build.
At Pulse, the role of Product Designer is to work with our researcher to understand the concepts we want to test, support the testing process and use the results to develop designs that deliver the most valuable solutions and experiences for Users of our mobile app (and future channels/devices). We've only just started building and defining our brand, tone of voice and design so you'll have the opportunity to experiment and stretch these as we build the product.
The right candidate will be comfortable designing complexity out of experiences. We're serving a Customer with lots of complex data that, with our data science team, you'll need to simplify and turn into easy to use, habit forming and even joyous experiences for our Users. You'll get to lead design initiatives from concept through to delivery and make an impact on how Pulse builds the product from day one.
In this role, you will:
Build, change and iterate design for iOS & android
Ability to collaborate but also make well-reasoned designed decisions and own the quality of delivery
Developing design process/ systems for iOS and Android products
Deliver great experiences for our users ensuring that our designs are accessible and inclusive
Understand the concepts we want to test, support the testing process and use the results to develop designs that deliver the most valuable solutions for our user
Lead design initiatives from concept through to delivery
Contribute to how we build our product
Ideal candidate profile
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Comfortable to get hands-on with and working within a start-up environment
Passionate about product lead design
Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate impact
Ability to influence and work cross-functionally across several small internal teams
Experience developing and evolving design standards in early-stage companies, or re-designing experiences and standards in an organisation
An empathetic problem solver with experience in digital product design
Strong UX experience where decisions are driven by data and customer insight
Developing design process/ systems for mobile products
Passionate, creative and adventurous
The base location for this role is WeWork Waterloo, York Road, London.
