PORTFOLIO ARCHITECT

A day in the life of a Portfolio Architect

· As a Portfolio Architect you will be working closely with a Change Programme team made of business stakeholders, programme managers and PMO.
· The scope of a Change Programme could be bound to the platforms within a GBGF product area, or across a single GBGF, or drive change across multiple GBGFs / Regions
· You are empowered to define the strategy and roadmap for the Programme and have Design Authority accountability for all changes driven by the programme.
· Whenever possible you will make programme design on a person to person basis with the Platform or Solution Architect and will only ask them to bring design decisions to a programme design authority forum when the decision needs to be considered by multiple stakeholders and SMEs.
· For design decisions that would have impact beyond the scope of the programme then you will require help and guidance from either an enterprise architect with design authority such as a GBGF / Regional Chief Architect or from the business through an FDA or Programme Steerco.
· You will focus on recording architectural decisions rather than document production.
· You will engage additional design domain SMEs, where necessary and work with the Platform and Solution Architecture to drive the design and delivery of the programme
