CMB digital IT is the technology organization that provide online and connectivity services to our corporate and business banking clients. It provides a comprehensive set of capabilities that cover the global need of our clients.

Today CMB digital IT is engaged in a number of significant programs to refresh the technology platforms that we support these digital capabilities further enhancing the capabilities and customer experience.

The goal of the HSBC Corporate Digital Platform is to provide a platform upon which digital services, such as the transformed HSBCnet payments platform can be built, deployed, run, and monitored; enabling HSBC to respond to the evolving needs of our clients more efficiently while addressing the deficiencies of heritage solutions.

· The role of the JAVA engineer is to develop JAVA Application, manage application, and be part of overall solution. Day to day activities include:

· Develop and manage JAVA applications within HSBC standards

· provide guidance and training to development teams on best practice for the same

· help set direction for adoption

· produce high level designs

· governance to ensure adherence to standards and best practice to maximize reuse

· In additional the role will need to support the existing JAVA applications and patterns in use and provide oversight to those projects deploying these patterns

· Engage in the wider HSBC communities of practice to bring into CMB best practice from those communities and ensure alignment with global HSBC strategy

Skills & Responsibilities

Candidate Specifications and Experience

· At least 5-years of Technical experience in the following Java, J2EE, Spring MVN, SQL etc.
· Strong understanding and skills on Linux, shell scripts
· Familiar with SSO and SAML2, understand how they work and what they are for, and have relevant experiences.
· Familiar with databases, such as Oracle and Derby
· Fluent English speaking and accurate writing skills
· Strong problem solving skills
· Strong communication skills and documentation skills
· Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative
· Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
· Able to adapt in global team culture and communicate with teammate in different location

Added advantages

· Good understanding on DevOps / Agile
· Good understanding and experience on CI/CD / Jenkins / Selenium
· Good understanding and experience on GitHub / JIRA / MuleSoft / Docker / PCF
