Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)

Retail Banking and Wealth Management leverages HSBC's global retail banking expertise and wealth management capabilities to deliver a broad range of world-class retail banking solutions to millions of customers. Driving for growth in key markets around the world, the business comprises areas such as retail banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management, with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading retail banking and wealth management solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

Acquire a good understanding of Underwriting processes;

Assists team manager to allocate tasks to the team;

Performs daily operational activities which include the verification, evaluation and analysis of the unsecured products within delegated General Lending Authority (GLA). Ensure that Service Level Agreement (SLA) with business unit is met at all the time;

Ensures the local banking laws, regulations, procedures and guidelines are adhered to;

Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Satisfactory audits, losses and complaints contained;

Assists in collating data and providing management information statistics / reports.

Contributes towards the continuous improvement of the department;

Ensures department maintain a high standard of customer service delivery. Enquiries from other business areas are promptly handled;

Provide support for UAT relating to the business if requires;

Provide valid suggestions to enhance the workflow and ensure the credit decision quality and efficiency;

Manage a sub-team in the credit decision process, to ensure the credit decision quality and efficiency;

Take daily referral cases from peers or junior staff, provide assistance for training and any ad-hoc project relating to operations and business;

Qualifications :

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Good understanding of unsecured lending products.

Fluent English in both oral and writing.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Multi-processing skill maintained with cross nature.

Achieve a higher team standard on Productivity, Quality and Extra Mile.

Provide mentoring and coaching to junior staff.

Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.

Evidence of good numerical /analytical skills to study trends and make projections.

Good keyboard skills and proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications

Good prioritizing, planning ,organizing and problem solving skills

Knowledge of and experience in problem solving techniques. Decision making based on experience, judgment and process knowledge

Able to work under challenging environment with tight timelines
