Legal Counsel
Hang Seng Investment Management Limited

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Legal Counsel .

Principal responsibilities

· As part of the legal team of Hang Seng Investment Management Limited (HSVM), assist in providing expert and professional legal advice, guidance and support to ensure that the legal and reputational risks faced by HSVM is identified, reported and mitigated.

· Maintain detailed knowledge of HSVM/Hang Seng Bank/Group operations and policies.

· Assist in the review of agreements or in legal projects and to ensure that the legal role in the second line of defense can be executed.

· Be accountable on all matters assigned.

· Assist the legal team of HSVM to evaluate and respond to changes in legal and regulatory requirements as they arise.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements

·  Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 2 years relevant post qualification experience

·  Experienced, confident and independent practitioner

·  Able to work as a team and to provide support to the legal team of HSVM

·  Able to keep up-to-date knowledge of developments in own industry sector

·  Ability to prioritize workloads in terms of legal risk and commercial consideration and willing to work overtime from time to time

·  Communication and interpersonal skills

·  Lateral thinking and problem solving ability

·  Stamina and ability to work under pressure
·  Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
