Job Profile text:

The Instance Management Analyst role contributes to the day to day application support for HOST services at a Global level. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and delivering BAU change and fixes migration activities across the HRIT Function. The incumbent will liaise with product Owners, Vendors as well as colleagues across the HRIT Function in release management activities. The incumbent is expected to complete a series of training courses to understand the data flows and architecture of a number of different systems that he/she will be supporting. The work requires the understanding of best practices, standards and policies followed within the support of the systems.

Impact on the Business

· Develop analytical skills, and working with HRIT System Analysts, resolve requests of varying complexity relating to Instance Management across the Group's HR Environments.
· Participate in Major Incident Reviews and Service Improvement Programs as required.
· Ensure proper change controls/approvals are in place before code/fixes/new configuration is released into Live.
· Develop a intermediate level of understanding of the IT systems of the Group and their associated operations support requirements.
· Understand IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery procedures for the services.

· Documentation of Environment and Instance strategy is kept up to date
· Ensure that HR project specifications are documented and signed-off prior to moving the configurations to production environments
· Follow the process and procedures to apply releases
· Report progress and identify and raise any issues/risks, escalating as appropriate to enable satisfactory resolution

· Build trusting relationships with stakeholders by consistently meeting and delivering upon their business needs; demonstrating and being respected for your knowledge across the HR System Landscape.
· Maintain accurate documentation of release changes and approvals following the standard release procedures.
· Co-ordination of service enhancemenst that result in improved service, customer satisfaction, and process improvement

· Apply IT policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

HR is a core corporate function within the HSBC Group operating in all locations of Group presence and provides varied services from the expected employee operational ‘life events' (hire, pay, transfer, promote, appraise etc.) and up the value chain to full business partnership advising on work-force analytics, talent management and advanced employee compensation strategies.

Significant progress has been accomplished to this goal and now one of the primary focuses of the System administrator is to assist the business in providing timely response to the Production incidents raised

Technology solutions are continually changing through external factors. New versions and improvements of existing Group implemented systems are implemented and new entrants into the HR market place – these can offer significant advantage.

Qualifications :

Certifications, Qualifications & Experience

KNOWLEDGE

·  Knowledge of HR processes
·  Knowledge of analytical techniques
·  Educated to degree level (preferred - or alternatively considerably greater experience to support an analytical ability)

EXPERIENCE

·  Experience of a working in an operational business environment (1+ yrs)
·  Experience of HR Technology and Release Process (1-2+yrs). Understanding of SAP Successfactors and/or Service Now Release Management preferred
·  Experience in implementing BAU change and releases across the HR landscape
·  Troubleshoot escalated outages and incidents and implement workarounds and short-term resolutions
·  Perform outage/crisis reviews, develop and manage preventative action plans
·  Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment – demonstrable ability to adapt to different cultures.

SKILLS

·  Strong analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills
·  Strong Interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills
·  Ability to work independently.
