Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC's global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world's leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2019 and beyond, we are seeking an experienced Business Analysts to join HSBC Technology.

CMB Technology sits within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology (HOST). Our team provides the technology solutions that enable the business to operate and service customers. From cutting edge relationship management platforms built using Agile/DevOps to industrial strength engines that power global online websites and trade platforms, our highly engaged and talented team can do it all.

CMB Digital Channels is a major Service Line within CMB Technology, responsible for the technology channels to Commercial & Global Banking clients (‘HSBCNet') & its underling payments / transactions engine (‘Connect') as well as the internet & mobile platforms for Small to Medium Enterprises (‘Business Banking').

We are looking for exceptionally strong Lead Business Analysts who will both champion and drive an agile approach based on deep understanding and experience, and who can equally work and deliver in waterfall environment to transform customer experience for HSBC's corporate clients.

What you will be doing;


We are looking for strong Business Analysts who will both champion and drive an agile approach based on deep understanding and experience, and who can equally work and deliver in a waterfall environment to transform customer experiences for HSBC's corporate clients.

The Business Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis for changes and new features/services. You will be involved from initial scoping and discovery and documentation of requirements right through to post implementation continuous improvement.

You will be working within a cross functional team made up of a product owner, user experience designers, visual designers, scrum master, developers and testers.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding user needs, and capturing these in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria (or BRDs / functional specification if needed) and supporting this activity through just-in-time business process mapping, use case modelling and other suitable modelling techniques.

The project will determine the tools needed, and the Business Analyst will need the full arsenal of waterfall and agile skills and tools at their disposal, and know where and when to deploy these. Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

· Working with colleagues and cross functional teams to produce and own business user requirements, functional specifications and business cases
· Performing in-depth analysis to deliver an enhanced Digital Channel experience
· Producing clear, high quality documentation for scrum teams, business and market stakeholders across all regions for various programmes of work
· Validating and prioritising requirements using research and customer insights
· Supporting the delivery production line (development, integration, testing and implementation) ensuring that digital deliverables meet business requirements and are fit for purpose to release to customers
· Adhering to the User Centred Design processes, working to agreed sprint and release plans

Desired profile



Qualifications :

What you will bring to the role;

·  Experience working as a Business Analyst within a digital or financial services organization
·  Solid experience of working in a Scaled Agile/Agile, process improvement and LEAN thinking environment
·  Experience of relevant systems e.g. JIRA, Confluence, APIs, AEM
·  Subject Matter Expertise of online and mobile channels, including technical, market place and customer considerations
These roles will primarily be based on site in London at 8 Canada Square.
