Job description

·  Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons to support countries in the Asia-Pacific (including Japan) region
·  Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, develop statistical forecast models, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results
·  Create statistical forecasts:
- Gather, analyze and validate data
- Execute statistical modeling software
- Review resulting statistical forecast model
- Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
- Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts
·  Incorporate introduction of new products and end of sales of existing products into your demand plan consideration
·  Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers and align demand forecast with sales/finance revenue forecast
·  Understand product categories and the go-to-market strategies for each product categories
·  Work with deal management to capture potential demand spikes due to LVO or specific deals
·  Coordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
·  Closely coordinate and communicate updated forecast and action plans with supply planning and other functions in supply chain
·  Use and maintain the Demand Planning (ie IBP) software as the primary forecasting system tool.
·  Regularly review forecast key performance index, conduct root cause analysis and come out with forward looking actions to address performance gaps
·  Regular meeting with other region teams as well as global team to review regional performance and share moving forward forecast strategy
·  May participate in pan HPE projects

Education and experience

·  Bachelor degree especially in supply chain with strong inclination to statistics
·  Possess 3 years or more of relevant working experience in demand planning,
·  Experience in S&OP is preferred

Knowledge and Skills

·  Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
·  This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
·  Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process
·  Familiar with Excel and PowerPoint tools
·  End to end supply chain knowledge is preferred
·  Knowledge of IBP DP (integrated business planning - demand planning module), Minitab or other software related to demand planning is preferred
