R&D IT Software Engineering Architect

  

Job Description:

   

·  Establish and maintain productive relationships with developers, project managers, and software vendors.
·  Assess the state of various SW Development Quality tools in Global IT’s tools chest and help define strategies to migrate to fewer SW Development Quality tools and newer technology.
·  Ensure support SLAs and maintenance of the various tools are being met by our providers.
·  Prepares metrics by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
·  Create Guidance & Participate in the review of accurate resource plans, project schedules and budgets.
·  Design and develop new technical solution across functional areas with the business.
·  Provide coaching and mentoring on quality assurance best practices to the developer community.
·  Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
·  Capture and share architectural IP at the project and program level.
·  Oversee the implementation and governance for the Quality SW tool sets.
·  Identify and address technical or operational risks.
·  Identifies risks and challenges the customer should expect to encounter with the solution based on similar efforts done with other customers.

·  Develops Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements into specific technology or operational recommendations.
·  Ability to apply business management and financial concepts, capital investment, financial modeling, and general aspects of business contracts. Use this knowledge to analyze business needs and develop meaningful system or operational recommendations.
·  Ability to apply knowledge of how the industry uses IT to address business challenges using, for example, technical standards and infrastructure, cross-industry trends that impact IT investment, industry-specific roadmaps, and IT enablers.

·  Collaborates effectively with the project manager to manage regional medium to large projects as necessary. For architectures of project scope may include the technical management of customer staff assigned to implementation team.
·  Plays a leading role in the Architect profession at the local level.
·  Make formal recommendations to customers to improve the level of job satisfaction for other company employees working on the project.
·  Can contribute in the development of new company services and modifications to the methodology.

Thorough understanding of software quality assurance and quality control techniques and

software development lifecycles (SDLC), Test Automation Frameworks & Various Test

·  Knowledgeable in HP Quality & Performance Center use and administration
·  Knowledgeable and Hands on in automation tools and frameworks: HP UFT, Selenium
·  Knowledgeable and Hands on in performance testing tools: HP Performance Center, performance counters
·  Knowledgeable and Hands on in requirements and defect tracking tools: Quality Center, QUIX, Bugzilla, SmartBear Collaborator
·  Able to effectively communicate complex concepts and influence decisions
·  Demonstrated creative and analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
·  Working knowledge of programing languages, database design, and Program Management skills.
·  Proficient with MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
·  Maintained high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.
·  Industry experience - 10+ years
·  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
·  9+ years of IT Quality Assurance related experience required.
