About the Project Manager Position

The success of the Global Shared Delivery Enablement Programs will depend on the effective communication and collaboration between Program team members. For this position, it is not necessary to have a background in or have studied project management.  It is critical, however, to have strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, and be results-oriented.  We will work with the skills you bring to the position, and teach you what you need to know!  We have a fun and high performing team of people who are willing to coach you!

Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

·  The individual will work in a global team and most meetings are virtual.  The ability to communicate clearly verbally, and in written form through emails and also PowerPoint presentations, is important.
·  Ability to integrate well and communicate with other team members in other countries is important

Analytical Thinking

·  Project management is about problem solving.  While there are methodologies which will get a person started, we work in a dynamic environment which requires us to very often find common sense and
logical solutions to challenges that arrive.
·  Many of the best project managers are those who have the ability to think outside the box

Results oriented

·  Project Managers need to be skilled at focusing on the big picture and driving towards results.
·  This person must have organization skills, and be able to work well within a team to achieve a common goal

Responsibilities:

·  Support and Manage the Conference Room Pilot (CRP) Track Milestone Readiness process:
·  Perform Readiness reviews to ensure CRP Tracks are ready for the planning phase of the lifecycle.
·  Ensure user stories and requirements are entered into the program repository prior to the start of the project.
·  Manage the execution of the GSD Workflow Transformation program:
·  Support the implementation and management of a risk management / issues tracking process.
·  Conduct regular meetings with the project managers to consolidate status information
·  Provide regular status updates and communications to the PMO Leader
·  Support the implementation and management of a program dependencies tracking process.
·  Resolve complex escalations or conflicts and escalate issues as appropriate.
·  Provide tactical and strategic support for PMO team
·  Responsible for the planning and logistics associated with face to face sessions.
·  Compiling data and information for reporting purposes
·  Maintaining key program records and other assets
·  Preparing and editing presentations
·  Develop internal program communications materials
·  Assist in providing metrics and other information to the Project Management Office (PMO) team, PMO Director, and Sponsors as is appropriate.
·  Participate as an active member of the PMO Team, and provide assistance to other PMO Team members.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelor’s or Associate's degree (in a technical field helpful, but not mandatory) - graduated in 2018 / 2019
·  Experience in working as a part of a project or program management team is a bonus

Knowledge and Skills Required:

·  Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment and initiative.
·  Knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
·  Ability to work within a team setting or independently to achieve goals and objectives
·  Outstanding communications skills (verbal / non-verbal)
·  Proven ability to resolve complex issues and / or escalate issues as appropriate
