In a typical day as a Project Analyst, you would:-

Project Analyst Role provides E2E value-add consultancy and project management during Presales phase and managing the administrative aspects of projects in the areas of deal assessment, deal governance & approvals, compliance & order acceptance, customer invoicing, legal, tax, operational matters primarily supporting the GreenLake & Advisory & Professional services businesses.

They demonstrate strong business and process knowledge, ensuring projects are compliant per HPE Policies and performing project analysis whilst proactively working with GSD to support project performance to help maximize HPE’s financial results.

They are able to perform in a dynamic environment with the ability to make decisions when information is not clearly defined.

Responsibilities:

·  Participation in the presales activities if requested by business, OA SOAR, Kick off meeting, review of draft SOW and deal specifics, review of the pipeline etc.
·  Reviews the OBR (Opportunity Business Review) approval and supporting documents to provide commercial consultancy to Advisory & Professional Services Business, Sales teams and provides leadership & input from countries/sub-region perspective
·  Act as an interface between Country and WW/Regional process managers/SMEs to solve process / tool issues.
·  Responsible for business controls, approvals and deal compliance throughout the Engagement lifecycle, supports country Operational Excellence Reviews (OER)
·  Maintains project files in accordance with the business control and record retention policies
·  Requests and validates Credit Checks (upon Sales Order Booking/Creation and invoice processing)
·  Invoices customers based on contract terms and conditions and change requests
·  Manage projects where the contract is negotiated, the sales order and invoice are created and the payment is received in a currency other than the Company Code currency (LC) or Global currency (USD).
·  Effectively create & manage project and sales order structures with multiple business units, market offerings/segments or with  Hardware
·  Managing invoices generated outside a systematic solution to accommodate customer billing or payment requirements, invoicing problems, time constraints etc.
·  Partners with Back office Project Associate on any transactional activities performed
·  Monitors & improves data quality, including SFDC data quality, SFDC audit, and order backlog in SAP/COMPASS and COMPASS Data Quality.

Education and Experience Required:

·  First level university degree with a focus in business or economics recommended or equivalent experience.
·  Typically 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
·  May have experience in more than one finance function.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Knowledge of Engagement and Support Solution Specifics.
·  Understanding of order management process, programs and policies.
·  Ability to analyze contracts/formal agreements to understand and correct set up project financials
·  Order acceptance Criteria & processes to ensure Segregation of Duties
·  Strong financial background for lease management
·  Requires good organisational and time management skills, professionalism, influencing, negotiation, Customer experience, Attention to detail
·  Additional Skills – Self Motivated, Flexible
·  Proactive, and shows initiative and leadership
·  Systems and tools knowledge : SAP Compass, MS Office  
·  Metrics & Measures knowledge: Solutions Operations requirements
