Job Description:

   

Responsible for execution of commodity / category strategies worldwide. Executes company procurement strategies, policies and tactics required to achieve objectives. Ensures execution of procurement channel and category strategies in delivery of the company internal projects and 3rd party products/services when part of company customer solutions; purchasing and buying. Coordinates purchasing activities with engineering and manufacturing departments, strategic procurement, and company Business Units to maintain inventories at planned levels (where applicable), ensure assurance of supply, maintain service levels, meet business requirements, and mitigate risk. May include inventory management. At the non-exempt level, may assist with establishing and maintaining the production control system.

Responsibilities:

·  Provides advanced transactional procurement support, including purchasing, business and financial controls that require extensive technical expertise.
·  Uses deep subject matter expertise to resolve issues, drive process improvements, and contribute to process and/or commodity objectives.
·  Contributes to strategic initiatives and leads implementation of small-scale tactical solutions.
·  Monitors and analyzes process- oriented tasks and situations; focuses on improving current areas with significant independent judgment.
·  Collaborates with team and internal partners to ensure established processes are followed, meet compliance requirements, and improve organizational performance.
·  Participates on cross-organizational teams to maintain and enhance current business processes, focusing on particular processes or commodity segments.
·  Provides independent, analytic, and tactical support in assigned area.
·  Provides mentoring and guidance to others in lower level roles.
·  Develops process improvement proposals for team or management review.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
·  Typically 6+ years of experience in materials and/or distribution.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Mastery in English and local language.
·  Excellent understanding of process workflows, basic business and financial controls, and procurement processes.
·  Advanced analytical and technical aptitude.
·  Strong business application skills.
·  Excellent communication skills.
·  Excellent understanding of corporate compliance.
·  Strong project management skills.
