Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a highly motivated Platform Development Engineering Intern to work in the San Jose, California office.

Responsibilities:

·  Work on one or more interesting, meaningful projects as member of the HPE/Nimble Platform Development team.
·  Get to know the members of the team and organization sponsoring your internship.
·  Work with your assigned mentor to learn about one or more meaningful projects to work on during the internship, including the requirements, deliverables, schedule, and dependencies.
·  Participate in events with other Interns to learn more about HPE/Nimble.
·  Provide periodic updates to the team to communicate status and any issues or questions you have about the project you are working on.
·  Participate in a presentation by interns to showcase the project(s) worked on, and what was learned during the internship.

Education/Requirements:

·  Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
·  Strong fundamental programming skills/experience in one or more various languages is preferred.
·  Willingness to learn from industry leading engineering staff who have operated at the cutting edge of enterprise storage and other key technology
·  Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred)
·  Knowledge of multi-threading and clustered environments and how they can be utilized within a robust enterprise class product
