In a typical day as a Mainframe Migration Expert within the Customer Solution Center, you would

• Be responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design.

• Lead the technical assessment and delivery of specific technical solutions to the customer

• Liaise with Solutions Architect as appropriate.

• Provide advanced technical consulting and advice to others on proposal efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions

• Collect and determine data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements

• Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often need to develop new methods to apply to the situation

• Own and manage knowledge sharing within a community (e.g. team, practice, or project), ensure team members support knowledge sharing and re-use requirements of projects

• Coach others in area of expertise and regularly produce internally published material such as knowledge briefs, service delivery kit components and modules, etc.

• Create and support sales activities and will manage these activities by providing qualitative and quantitative information for successful sales

• Communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrates the professionalism of the job family

If you are…

• 7+ years experienced and own a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study

• 3+ year experienced in CICS migration involving IBM Mainframe zOS to Linux/ Unix/ Windows platforms

• 3+ years experienced with programing C/C++, Java, COBOL and Shell scripting

• 2+ years experienced working with Linux/Windows Systems

• 2+ years experienced with Micro Focus (e.g. Visual COBOL & Mainframe Solutions)

• 2+ years experienced working with DBs (Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL)

• 2+ years experienced in Project scoping, scheduling, estimates time/cost for deliverables, and documentation

• Have at least one Industrial certifications (e.g. Linux/Microsoft or Programing Language)

• Proficient in English language skills

• Used to work with IBM mainframe zOS environment (online – CICS/IMS, batch, security, scheduling, and printing) and programming languages COBOL, Assembler (and ideally PL1)
