Job Description:

   

The Knowledge Management (KM) team has an immediate opening for an Information Developer III supporting HPE servers, technology, and solutions including Synergy and ProLiant servers.
 
As a member of the KM team, you are part of a high performing team of technical communicators who support our mission to deliver an industry-leading enterprise information experience with the highest commitment to quality and providing the best user experience.

Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and visual product-related technical user content including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Performs independent research, works closely with subject matter experts, and conduct hands-on testing in labs to create and test content and provide feedback on ease of use and any enhancements to user interfaces. Performs technical reviews and incorporates feedback. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a member of the product development team, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Requires University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of 4-6 years related experience or an Advanced University degree and 2-4 years experience or equivalent.
·  Excellent English verbal communications and proven English writing skills using industry-standard XML authoring tools and structured authoring environment.
·  Understands concepts and develops in-depth working knowledge of products, applications and systems in assigned area of responsibility.
·  Ability to deliver on multiple project technical requirements, schedules, and information formats.
·  Ability to write following DITA standards, Information Modeling, and Topic writing.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Ability to become the knowledge expert for one or more products or technologies
·  Design, develop, maintains complex technical information for multiple audiences
·  Ability to be self-directed and work in a team
·  Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate up to senior management and across to teams
·  Ability to mentor junior writers
·  Leadership within writing team and R&D engagement
·  Delivering technical presentations to R&D, KM, and other teams
·  Advocates new tools/methodologies to improve customer satisfaction
·  Develop guidelines and procedures to set tactical direction
·  Minor in technical field or equivalent experience in a technical function
·  Familiar with content management systems.

U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident (green card holder) required.
