Job Description:

   

Essential Job Functions and Duties:

·  Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, switches, GPUs, and storage.
·  Image and upgrade servers with Linux OS, update firmware, and configure switches to work within our labs.
·  Setup multiple root partitions and install a variety of OS versions on the partitions.
·  Update DNS entries and configure systems to run on HPE network per our network security protocols at HPE.
·  Familiar with VMware vSphere and setting up and maintaining virtual servers.
·  Familiar with storage arrays; installing enclosures and drives.  Also able to replace failed drives and rebuilding new ones.
·  Some knowledge of Nagios, shell & Perl scripting, Ansible, and Docker.
·  Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Business field required. 

Minimum of one – four years working in Linux system administration required, preferably in a HPC environment.   Also will consider experienced IT desktop administrators that are familiar with Linux or Network administrators that are interested in learning more about lab system administration.

Candidate will work with a team of system administrators and will have a senior system administrator at same job site to be their mentor.
