Embedded firmware/hardware engineer will involve in all phases of embedded system development including Schematic capture, PCB layout, HW bring-up, tooling, and firmware development.

  

Responsibilities:

·  Leads design, implementation, and verification of both the hardware schematics/layout/tooling and   embedded firmware preparation for projects.
·  Manages relationships with internal and outsourced development partners. 
·  Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
·  Provides domain-specific expertise, leadership, perspective to cross-organization activities and supports.  
·  Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
·  At least 10+ years of experience on Hardware board level design.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Have seasoned experience in Allegro Design Entry HDL flow and related package tools.
·  Having hierarchical schematic design flow experience is a plus.
·  Work independently and capable to fit current schematic design flow or build new flow and environment upon the need.
·  Ability to build brand new hardware system from concept to BOM and then final real board by defining board architecture, component sourcing and integrating passive or active components, chips etc.
·  Third party manufacture/partner sourcing and coworking experience like PCB layout service, PCB fabrication and SMT assembly house.
·  Working experience or familiar with High Speed signalling like PCI Express Gen-2 or USB 3.0 above
·  Interface Protocol knowledges (PCI Express, I2C, USB, SPI, UART etc.)
·  Server and/or PC architecture knowledge
·  Embedded firmware customization or debug for component need local firmware tuning within the system.
·  C programming language experiences. Perl or Python script coding experience is a plus.
·  Git or SVN version control tool usage experience.
·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and debug experience on FPGA/CPLD based system bring up.
·  Basic lab equipment operation like DSO Scope or Logic Analyzer and Protocol Analyzer.
·  Experience in overall architecture of hardware platform for server products and solutions.
·  Enjoy new design challenge and learning new technology or design methodology or flow.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
·  Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels
