Your Responsibilities :
The mission of Procurement is to ensure the availability of strategical products and services through the selection and management of suppliers in accordance with our technical, qualitative and economical requirements and in compliance with group policies and values (Focus on Patients, Integrity, Respect for people, Transparency).
The intern will join the team of “Direct or Indirect Purchases” supporting buyers in the execution of local or team projects and in daily activities.

Context: The intern will join the team of Indirect Purchases supporting buyers in the execution of local projects and daily activities. The aim of the team is to ensure availability of strategical products and services through management of departmental projects involving suppliers in accordance to GSK technical, qualitative and economical requirements and in compliance with the group policies and values (Focus on Patients, Integrity, Respect for People, Transparency).

Project description: the resource will support the indirect team in managing projects aiming improving performance of existing suppliers and evaluate new ones, prepare local negotiation and provide analyst support to those one conducted globally. Moreover, she/he will support the team in the identification of saving opportunities and related tracking of deliveries and in performing spend analysis.
The result expected is to have a good knowledge about procurement processes and procedures, be an autonomous support for the team able to manage operational issues with low criticalities, support stakeholders requirements and provide added value within strategical initiatives (i.e. identification of saving opportunities and support for local implementation of projects).

Competencies the intern will develop thanks to the internship experience: gain knowledge in Procurement processes/procedures, management of suppliers and stakeholders, implement local projects and report/track deliverables, coordinate independently local activities, present supported/lead projects to a wide audience within different level of the organization.

Main Accountabilities:
 Existing suppliers management and new suppliers evaluation
 Negotiation and preparation of local and international tenders
 Contracts management, in partnership with our Legal Department
 Implementation and improvement of Purchase Catalogues
 Evaluation of suppliers, identification of saving opportunities and spend analysis
 Updating suppliers' database
 Tracking of deliveries
 Administration support to Regional Procurement Director

Basic qualifications:
- Economy or Management Engineering Degree
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Fast learning capabilities and curiosity

- Demonstrate passion, creativity and initiative
- Ability to work alone, in team and to engage with multi-functional stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:
- Good knowledge of systems – Office, SAP
