The opportunity:

 

We are currently looking for an Intern in our Virtual Capability team. Your role will be to support the supervisors inbenchmarking andevaluatingboth established and emerging constitutive models for filled elastomers.

The project will consist of:

•a broad literature study of the existing and more advanced models in the constitutive rubber modelling field (includinghyperelasticity, hyper-viscoelasticity, Mullins effect);
•a benchmark study of 4-5 different state-of-the-art rubber models (evaluation of the fitting procedure for each model, evaluation of the provided user subroutines in ABAQUS, validation on a simple test case in ABAQUS).

 

To join our team you will need:

 

Education:

The student should be registered in one of the following studies: Computational Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials or similar.

The intern should be finishing his Master degree.

 

Languages:
English is a must.

Skills & Qualifications:

•Finite Element Analysis knowledge
•Knowledge of ABAQUS
•Basic knowledge of Python
•Basic knowledge Fortran

 

You have to be available for 6 months & be enrolled in an university.

Ideal starting date : February or March 2020 .
