Role Summary/Purpose

For our BioPharma business with GE Healthcare Life Sciences, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE). The FSE will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer’s equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Working area is Benelux with focus on Belgium. Willing to travel. 
Essential Responsibilities

·  Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment. Working area Benelux, focus on Belgium. Willing to travel.

·  Responsible for completing Preventative Maintenance and Functional Management Inspections

·  Order and manage repair parts cycle times
·  Communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction

·  Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated
·  Answer service calls independently without assistance within 1 year of employment

Candidates should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this transaction.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Associate Degree in either Electrical Engineer, Engineering with a heavy focus in Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering Technology; or pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
·  Some experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process
·  Some experience with diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
·  Some experience in troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
·  Fluent in English, Dutch and French.

·  Preferably living in the area around Brussels

·  Ability to show self-initiative & motivation

·  Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process

·  Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment

·  Experience in troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
