Role Summary/Purpose

The Data System Software Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating and executing business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to design embedded and application software used for engine and component testing. Additionally you will support process and productivity improvements through digital solutions.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services typically does not require Engineering degree

·  Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, test rigs, instrumentation systems and the development of test software

·  Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent

·  Works together with people from the business unit

·  Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues
·  Communicates with direct team and supervisor

·  Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Testing)

·  Familiarity with technology in computing and networks
